High Ralliart RPM?

so i just got my frist ralliart after a drunk driver totaled my old OZ, and i was wondering if the car is supposed to be a 3000rpm in 5th gear going about 70mph because my 03 oz rally didnt hit 3000rpm till like 90mph

im wondering if they previous owner did something to the car to make it do that or do all ralliart's engines rev that high?

man thats because the Ralliart Tranny its "shorter" than the OZ
(I guess shorter sounds good on spanish but not the same thing in ENGLISH!)

by shorter I mean, its close ratio!

thats all!

well that's a relief

it had me worried, i thought there might have been something wrong with the tranny since it was so high.

the mr tranny would be expensive
but yea the gear ratio make it so the revs are hi even for a 60 -70 gruise
you could get the fifth updated if you ever got a rebuild

I have used AWD transmissions before on a FWD application... Can work just fine as usually the rear driveline output has a viscous (sp) clutch seperate from the front driveline outputs... I usually remove the rear drive yoke, machine a cap to fit over the output shaft and call it done...

If the bellhousing mounts the same to our blocks (i think it does, Diavlo will probably know) then its completely possible...

ok I see, I was under the impression everyone was assuming this was a bolt on thing... never done major work until this car, it's good to know that if the housing bolts up it's cake after that

there seems to be endless possibilities with the RA. i like to see new stuff like this come up. when these cars get old enough you might be surprised by what ppl have done to these little sleepers .
