Exhaust System

Hey

I am going to install the evo 8 turbo in my ralliart. My questions are
1- Would I be able to replace the hole exhaust with evo 8 exhaust rather than installing just the evo 8 downpipe?
2- What should I buy for ECU???? Not too expensive !
3- AEM Wideband o2 sensor, brand new in box: $300 is it worth buying ?

Thanks guys

1- You should be able to, depending on if the hangers are in the same place or you can weld hangers on. But dont buy a stock exhaust!

2- Idk, im not good with the electronics yet...about all I know are the greddy e-manage and AEM EMS and neither of those are inexpensive!

3- lancershop.com sells them for $260 and have excellent customer service! Yes you do need one! And a BOOST gauge!

1. get a turboback exhaust. pay the extra money. afterall, its YOUR car your dangling with.

2. RRM has a nice ecu at a decent price.

3. I don't know much about widebands, but i'm sure if you called our friends at RRM, they would set you up. or at least send you in the right direction.

Ali911, check out Aftershock, they are located in Ottawa. They have just created an exhaust system that is adaptable to turbo. Its a full stainless steel system, 2.5'' all the way, dp, hiflo cat, the whole shabang. I do believe it comes with the wideband sensor as well. Check em out - aftershockautomotive.com

Im sure they will be able to help you out with everything. Email/talk to Brent and tell em barnsey sent ya

haltech ecus might be nice for what you are planing (using evo 8 turbo) i think one of the ausssies mentioned them earlier

i like your idea base evo parts are widely available and should be more than what is needed for now good luck i may end up copying you after some head work (maybe)

wideband would be good to tune with and watch over but now i m htting the limit of my theoretical knowledge under 300 i think is a good deal for a wideband.

i was actually just gonna buy an evo turbo back try to fix it if i went turbo shouldnt be too hard plus u can find em used cheap worth it even if it takes a bit of tinkering... out rear is a bit different from the evo so maybe some problems i am gonan go look at my friend IX over the weekend to get some more info but its all theory for now (like the rest of my ambitions)
