Driving lights, or Daytime Running Lights (DRLs)?

yeah, when i had an 07 es as a rental car, it had lights that were slightly less bright than the regular night-time lights that you can't turn off

and yes, it was just as if not more annoying than it sounds

im not sure, but if the drls use a different bulb than ur night time lights, you could just unplug them.

i have no idea about the fuse tho

IIRC, the only way to disable DRLs is to replace the front ECU with one from a model that doesn't have them.

Or an '04 ES, LS, OZ, or Outlander. '05 and up have the DRLs, '04 do not.
Part number is MR515500.

USDM only, I don't know about Canada, Europe, Oz, etc...

Wow, learn something new every day. DRL's aren't neccessary, well in my opinion, my Mom had a Toyota Corrolla, and her DRL's use to bug me, it just seem like a waste of energy.

More of learning something new. There is actually an internet organization that wants to ban DRL's http://www.lightsout.org/disable.html#Mitsubishi, there is a link to a Mitsubishi forum that talks about Pin # 2 in the Galant and Eclipse of the ECU that can disable them. Not exactly sure if the ECU's are the same, there is always a chance, doesn't the Eclipse and the Galant have the same 2.4L 4G69?
