Gear oil \,yes i know its been beaten to death.

This is the scenario.
I run the BG in my car.
When doing my clutch job i had to pull the axels an a lot of tranny fluid leaked out an it looked dirty.
Im getting up tomorrow an i gotta hunt some gear oil.(wasnt really planning on doing this)
Now what i want to know is what is the best i can get TOMORROW.
(yes i know that BG an redline are the best to get but its not avaliable)
That limits my options to the dealership, napa, advance auto ect.
What do you think would be my best bet?

Mods after tom you can delete this thread.
An you can delete the recent one i made on torque specs or throw it in the FAQ section. (I searched an didnt find it in there so it may be helpfull)

An a big thanks ROB.
Do you still want my old?

Best you can get ASAP would be GM Syncromesh from a GM dealer.

As for the fly, your call. It can come back to me (I'll pay ship), or you can pass it on to the next person who might need it.

GM syncromesh eh?
Ill try that first. Can i just ask for it by that?

As for the fly it up to you. Ill hold on to it an post a thread up in the ralliart forum.Or....
Hell you can even make it a sticky an we can do a flywheel pass around for anyone doing a clutch job. Could be helpful to the peps that are on the forum.
Ill make the thread if you want to do a sticky?

Yes, you can ask for it by name at the GM dealer. They might look at you funny when they ask what vehicle it's for and you reply that it's going in a Mitsubishi. It's what I've been running in my RA for the last 60,000+ miles.

As for the flywheel, I think it'd be great if we could keep it around as an extra to pass on to the next person doing a clutch swap. Assuming, of course, that the last person to use it doesn't mind storing it until it's needed again.

Community parts FTW. I also found that, within the US, you can ship the flywheel for under $9. It just barely fits in a USPS flat rate priority box, and if you pack it right, the box won't fall apart (USPS won't allow you to modify the actual box).

Unfortunately, yes. However, our flywheel is insanely sturdy, I would think that if someone damaged their flywheel, it'd be pretty obvious to them, at which point they should be looking at a new one, not the community wheel.

It was halarious. I had to go to the post office to pick it up.(not remembering that he was sending it)
The woman had it on the counter an i about dropped it when i slid it off.
I was thinking WTF someone send me a brick of lead?
Rob had reinforced the inside corners with thick cardboard.
There wasnt a buldge or tear at all in the box. So it can be done.

On topic.
Thanks for the call on the GM syncromesh.
My car actually shifts better than it did with the bg synchromesh.
Very impressive stuff

I was expecting the package to be returned to my house the day after I sent it with a note saying "You've got to be kidding...."
