I have been to a few auto parts stores and I havent been able to find GL-4 trans. fluid. Most that I have found are GL-5. The only GL-4 trans. fluid that I was able to find is Royal Purple. Should I just go with the Royal Purple? I have read that the stealership only sells the trans. fluid by the drum, so I ruled that out. What do you guys think?

 

If your in south "cali", try callin RRE and get some BG syncroshift. If not, there are other of places and dealerships that sell non mitsu GL-4 type oil. Autozone / Kragen type stores usually have multi grade GL3/GL4/GL5 which I would avoid. I use BG, some people use royal or redline................ search. There are quite a few threads on tranny fluid recommendations to help you decide. Good Luck.

 

royal purple works real well. have used it for 2yrs w/out any issues...

Royle purple is a good one, Amsoil synchromesh synthetic is better then just about everything out there. It has been tested if i remember right. You look on their white paper. BG is really good also. Rob at RRM used it. It's up to you and your budget.

 

Napa is the only place that I havent checked.
