Is the First Generation (04-06) Ralliart Dead?
Just wanted to post a quick reply... I live in Edmonton, Alberta, and 2006 Ralliarts are actually quite popular here. See a lot of people driving it. When I bought it I actually never heard of it until I visited a Mitsubishi dealership heh..
Damn, this thread is still alive? Its getting more action than our cars
On the serious note: I will be adding only a rear swaybar at this point and call this car done... I've never owned a vehicle that I felt was finished in the MODS department, but this thing just doesn't do it for me any longer. Its just not an exciting car compared to most cars on the market in a similar price range.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the car with a few minor (and boring) bolt-ons. I still keep it washed and regularly waxed. Its fully maintained with Synthetic fluids (we know part are gonna be hard to find, lets keep what we got alive as long as we can), and I know that it will see 200K miles in the condition its in now.

I have to say for the car in it's class (not minding price) it is a great car, specially for something N/A. You won't find many more that feel as spirited and responsive (w/ just a few minor mods). I drove a 03 WRX after a month of owning my RA and safe to say I prefer the RA over the 03. Now, I haven't driven a newer year WRX but I'm just comparing to what i have driven.
And I'd never own a Spec-V. It has "my gf's car" written all over it.

I never said I don't like it... It just has its place as a Non-Mod car in my book at this point, where as most other makes and models have an aftermarket. I do like some VW's though, always have... I test drove the 04 GTI at the time, and it didn't appeal to me... I honestly would like to have bought a WRX for the AWD (I live in snow country)
3 years later and 68,000 + miles, I still think is the king of the 160 hp class.... and beyond for mine. It was mod-started the same week I got it, and I still spend on it on different configurations...very versatile car, easy to DIY maintenance.
wow, this thread does get more attention than our cars lol. i like my RA but ive already forgotten about it and waiting for the 09 to be released, its too good to pass up IMO compared to my current one.
and i believe its the 4b11 thats in the new RA.
