plastic clip behind tail light

does anyone know how to take out that plastic clip that is located on the back of the tail light? i bought some depo tail lights and it didn't come with it. so i still have them installed, but it makes the tail lights very loose. i want to take out the clip from my stock ones, but i have no idea how. they're on there pretty good.

i went to the dealership yesterday and those clips aren't considered as a servicable part, so they couldnt sell me anything. if any auto stores have them, then please let me know! i took some pictures with my camera phone, but i forgot my password to photobucket, so if you can help me without them then let me know! if i don't get any answers then i'll try figuring out my photobucket so i can upload it, thanks!

thanks Myszkewicz for your offer, but guess what? i finally got it! hahaha. in case anyone wants to know, they can use it as a future reference i guess. basically i used a flat head screw driver made for the screws on glasses. I jammed it between the metal and the plastic and i carefully bent the plastic back. there are 4 of them that you need to do, so just carefully try bending the plastic back and when you think it got it to go back enough, try pulling it out. if it is a success, just bend it back and there you go! if i have time, i will provide pictures for reference!

i think u might be missing those pieces! you either have to get them off your old tail light or special order it at the mitsubishi dealership. I did both, i think at Mitsubishi they charged like 2.69 per clip and u need 2.

well besides the clips, do you have the plugs that go over the clips? thats what makes it crucial. let me know if u need some pics, but basically the clip will keep the plug from falling off, so you definitely need both
