i always warm my car up when its cold for about 10 min. But when i drive it almost feels like wheel hop but it doesnt bog down and im not doing a burnout. It only happens until the tranny is warmed up. i drive a 06 ralli art 5-speed. is this normal or should i get it checked?

Our car has no traction control. It's clutch chatter, and is normal.

Traction control? ha.

Its clutch chatter, I have it on my Works clutch, and had it on my oem clutch before i replaced it. You get used to it... Wait till you start launching the thing, I once had hard enough wheel hop the soda can in my cup holder bounced out.

I still can't figure out how to turn mine off always fugs me up in teh autox

clutch chatter FTL lots of us have it. most of us adjusted our driving, if you use the clutch less to start of it has less time to chatter. makes it kind of uncomfortable for your passengers though

you are not releasing the clutch properly when you take off in first. Either give it a little more gas or don't slip the clutch as much.

not to bring up an old thread but i think i figured out why my car was doing this. i had masano mitsubishi fix my car after my accident. the motor mount on the passenger side wasnt tightened down all the way. a couple of bolts were loose. now that i tightened them the car is fine. i still dont know why it would only do that when it was cold outside.

If the motor mounts weren't tightened all the way for any significant amount of time you should probably take them out and inspect them. There's a good chance you blew them both.

well it wasnt the mount itself it was two bolts that hold the mount. it wasnt loose enought to loosen/tighten by hand but i could tighten it with a ratchet. everything seems to be fine
