its covered in a cheap factory film that for whatever reason I could never find anything to clean it effectively. Just had to live with it. I plan on just wiping the clock in the new lancer off with a lint free dry towel.

... I dont know, mine seems easy to read, maybe sometimes the sun f*ck a little but its not compleatly unreadable, just put your hand on top of it!, hehehe

I put some AMBER film on it, and NOW its really unreadable with the lights on, and with the lights off you can see it if theres not a direct sunlight, almost imposible with the lights on, I have to put my hand over it to read it.

yes, i want my dashboard to have a visor

i really thought maybe someone had been pissed about it as i am, its just really annoying.

the worst is when its just sprinkling enough that i have to use wipers,
so here in NYS (dunno if any other states) i have to have my headlights on whenever my wipers are on, thus dimming the clock... and you cant read that worth crap.

i guess ill have to research how to set the clock on my aftermarket headunit...
it didnt come with instructions cause it was used... maybe ill just disconnect the negative from the batter at 1155 and put it back on at 12.

Buy a new car!
I hated the one in the Evo... Not the real reason I went with a new car, but the one in the dash by the speedo is much easier to read in the Porsche, not to mention that even when its raining and I have my headlights on the dash senses the light and dims accordingly, or doesn't dim.

I made a visor out of wood... just something thin and cheap.. Worked up until my buddy was goofing off and smacked his hat against it.. I plan on making another one out of aluminum at work and spraying it black. Worked quite nice too...

Seriously man mine wasnt really bad until I tried to clean it. Then the smears were impossible to remove.
