sick of mitsu paint

thats it i've had it...

this cheap *** mitsu black paint has got to go.... i'm sick of finding scratches everywhere everytime i wash the car... like how the hell do i get scratches on the rear pillar :S

anyway... i'd like to keep my car black at the moment cause it easyier but is there a brand of paint or some other shade or type of black or painting procedure that will yeild less scratches?

only thing i can think is to get high quality paint and use lots of clear coat

suggestions?

Paint will always scratch. If you get the car repainted, get a proper clearcoat (stock paint doesn't have one) and then if it gets scratched, you'll be able to polish it out.

meh I'm thunder gray and my front bumper looks like I took a white spray can and misted it... I gave up on my paint a long time ago. From afar the car looks fine, that's all I care.

But a solution to your answer, clearcoat.

Many manufacturers use cheap, single stage paints on their econo cars, it's not unusual.

so a good claybar and wax is in order... so before i go and get the car recleared how the hell do you get rid of all the little dings and scratches?

is it enuf to just have the paint spot less and then re-clear the car?

You don't get it recleared.. Have it repainted, reclearing it would only make the clear coat pitted and such since the layer underneath isn't smooth.

Have it sanded, prepped, primed, painted, cleared using a multistage process...
