Yeah, I'd like to keep mitsu in the family as well (the diamond is so much cooler looking than the 'H') but I'd also like to keep reliability and resale in the family!

Keeping it until it dies. Mine will be paid off in the next month or two, and it has easily another 100,000 miles left in it.

I bought three motorcycles last year, to help take some of the miles I would normally put on my car.

Not sure what my next car will be, it really depends on what's out there when this one finally gives up.

Not sure yet. Still runs strong at 53,000 miles. I have been torn between turning it into a Club race car (SCCA road courses), or keep as a daily and buy a race car already built.
If I turn it into a Club racer.....then I'll look into probably leasing a Hybrid or buying a VW Jetta diesel to convert to run on WVO or SVO.

Either way, I don't see getting rid of it at all at this point.

my uncle knows someone that works at an oil refinery and ahe said thats theres plenty of oil to last 1000s more years. she laughs at all the rumors going around and says the companys love when people drive SUVs. there plenty of places they didnt start drilling yet.

Indeed. All the important bits on the car are holding up to the mileage just fine (going to turn 110,000 today, where's my cake? ) I'm starting to have little electrical issues, but that's just due to some electrical components starting to die, which is expected for a car this age.

I know I already posted in this thread, but my plans keep changing, but basically until next year is here, I really have no idea what I'm going to do. I will keep the car until it explodes, but whether or not I purchase a track car depends on the economic climate and where I decide to put my money.

Mine has been paid off since day one, so it shall be with me until it dies on me. I plan on picking up an 07 S2k next spring and use the RA as a daily. If i really like the new Ralliart, then i might go with that. Then Ill have two Ralliarts haha

I don't know if it's true, but I heard Coopers have really bad transmission problems? That's what I've heard a lot recently..

hadn't heard that..might need to look into it some more..everything i've read has been positive about the S...personally know 2 people who have them and they love them...not used to the big gauge in the middle of dash, but it grows on you...love my RA though, ordered new gloss black ICW odessa's yesterday..will post pics when installed.

You often hear more positive things about cars but all cars have it's own unique problems. I wanted to trade in my RA for the S at one point but found A LOT of bad reviews specifically about the transmission.

I almost sold the RA this year for a WRX (Had the RA parked for the winter..) After summer came and I got to drive it again, totally changed my mind and now i'm keeping the RA. I don't think I can ever sell it as we've been through a lot together so it has that sentimental value ahahha seriously tho, i'd only sell it if the Evo 7/8/9's were allowed in Canada. Until then im keeping the RA and sometime soon buy a 240 coupe.
