There was problem loading the page but that looks really cool lol. Make it kick in at 1200 Rpm that would be tight!

I'm not sure if anyone has tried that one specifically, but nobody has gotten a MIVEC controller to work on the 4G69 MIVEC. They're typically designed to work with old MIVEC versions over in Japan. No real point to it, either. MIVEC is designed to kick in exactly when it's needed, moving it forward or back will most likely be a hinderance, unless you're after better gas mileage at freeway speeds.

How would that help on the freeway, im usually going 80 mph at 3400RPM, so I mean unless its the autobahn or maybe texas (I think thier speed limit is 80) it wouldnt help would it?

Really? Did you have anything done to your car to accomplish that?

I go well above MIVEC range when I'm cruising at 80mph. I'd have to be going 72-74 to be right under MIVEC if I remember correctly.

To the OP, if you have any success, definitely post it here. It would be nice to bump MIVEC start range up to 3700 or so for better MPG on the freeway.

^ yeah for sure. Pin2Win do you have a 5-speed?

As for the OP, I doubt anyone will ever make a controller compatible with the 4g69 and it definitely wouldn't be cost-effective if you're just aiming for better freeway gas mileage. For that, I'm planning on the DIY MIVEC light, which will most def be cost-effective.

lol I thought you were gonna try to make some kind of snide comment about us Texans.

Our highways within city limits have the limit set at 70mph, most of the interstates outside of city limits are 80 though, so this really would benefit me seeing how I drive 20 miles one way on the highway to school.

I suppose an even better way to save gas would be to get my horse outta the stable and use him

Hey joey...I can tell you that as for everybody I know that runs Vtec controllers...It's not that they don't like it, but the only ones who really put it to use are the ones who Auto X, the rest set it and never really touch it :b haha...But I was looking at the same thing for the exact same reason...However I think it'd be easier to have two maps tuned out that you can change between on those days...not to mention aren't you right across the street from Tech for next year? haha...no need for it any more :b

Federal speed limits were repealed in '95. Remember when Montana had no speed limit for awhile? Speed limits are now completely up to the state. Most states are at 70. Some 75, Texas is 80, and some states are still way down at 55, such as Oregon.
