ok, my dealership wants 575.00 for my 60k service...i'm at 49k right now..question is, most of the crap is just checking fluids and simple ****, I've already put a Gator belt on at 20k- is there an interior belt that has to be changed that only a mitsu mechanic can get to?...i live over an hour away from the dealer..i'd rather go to my trusted local mech'...(they build race cars from ground up)...or can i just skip the 60k service all togther?..i skipped the 30k one..hell my subaru has 130k on it and never been to a mechanic or even had belts changed...what's up with the RA?...thnx

all service work is way overpriced. Its simply changing fluids.

Go buy a special feeding funnel. and buy ur fluids from the guy Oildoc

and Hit up the ''How to''. Good to go.

 

I just did the work myself with my buddy. Helps to have a lift but its not 100% necesary.
I replaced the balance shaft belt, timing belt, accessory belt and the timing belt tensioner. Also replaced the waterpump, did a tranny flush, obviously a radiator flush and that's about it. Everything else I do every year like the stupid hinge greasing and other lubrication bs they charge you $$ for..
