ok the reason for this thread is to assure myself im not ordering one part when i can just order another for the same result...
i was driving through town and on one side of the highway is a park with a duck pond, well while driving i notice the truck next to me starts to slow down really fast almost like he was going to hit someone, i see theres noone in front of him so i just drive past him like normal and out of no where i was struck by a duck on the lower front right side, all i saw was a large white bird and then bang!
well this duck broke some of my clips and i think im missing something else, another part of the front lip, but the guy at the dealership couldnt tell me anything cause he didnt know anything..and told me to order a whole new front lip...now the piece looks like a duct that attachs the front lip to the bumper i have one on the right side...now is this a separate part of the front lip? or is it attached to the lip? i just dont want to order a new front lip when i can just get the stock number for this part and order it..naw mean? well sorry for the long story with the very simple question...thanks in advance

On topic, looks like you're in for a new lip. Personally I have driven with the piece missing, for about 6months to even a year when i cracked up my first lip. Then someone hit me so i got a new one... I'm prone to damaging front lips, I have a crack in the current one I have right now and that's number 3 as far as lips... sooo no need to replace it, just throw some zip ties on if it wiggles and you should be good...

I agree, but anyways I wouldn't replace the lip unless it really needs to be replaced. They're not cheap pieces...

 

lol you misunderstood, i was in the left lane, the truc in the right lane a little ahead of me, the duck was already on the righ side of the truck and decided to fly back arcoss the highway again, he guy in the truck can see the duck and slowed down all of a sudden, i passed the truck a bit and duck flew past the front of the truc and slammed into the side of my car right in front of the front right tire, where the lip connects..so no...i was struck....poor duck, poor lip...
