A year ago, we switch the bushing on the damper by urethane bushing. they fit very tight when we made them but one got out of the arm this spring.

this is how I made sure it wouldn't come out again

looks like switching the bushing with urethane one was too much for the damper. it just snap at the base.

and I found out this when I removed it from my car

So, if you have stuff to test, I'm your guy

lot's of people said it, our engine has a lot of torque and the stock motor mount moves a lot.... and I must admin, I autocross and lap the car. so most of the time it's gas off, gas on, no middle.

I broke my Weapon R Torque Damper a year or so back. Broke the brace in just about the same spot.

my rrm motor mounts are doing just fine. I'd imagine anyone who did the full diy (not the partial on the car "window weld" method) would say the same

We made custom urethane mounts but while doing a full week-end of lapping school, the back mount moved a little and the donut finally came as a *C* shape only and the motor was floating... (when 3rd gear don't want to engage... motor and tranny are moving)

I redo the back one and add stainless steel washer... so far so good.

Necodemus : Can we repair it ? Bring it with you this week-end...

iirc rrm uses carbon fiber to strengthen them. if it happens again try reinforcing the urethane.

^ I would think the price of adding carbon fiber to those mounts would bring the price up substantially. Unless RRM is using left over carbon scraps

Sadly if your on the retarded cheap side a good fix is PL300. Its the expoy shinglers use, you can find it a your local home depot. Hardens like a rock and after a year of abusing it, it still looks like day one.

Not that im cheap or anything......

My bushing is coming out too, but the t-bone piece doesn't look like it's going to snap yet...
