Gauge & HVAC lights won't go on!
i know what the problem is. same exact thing happened to me. every time i replaced the fuse it blew right away. My cousin figured out that it was the halos that were causing it for blow every time so i had to disconnect the halos... i didnt have any problems for about 9 months, then things started to go crazy. try disconnecting the halos then putting a new fuse in and see if it still blows up
well my halos have been disconnected for a while before this happened cause I shorted one out and I have them just taped up... maybe they're still making contact... I'll look into it
Hello,
I am bringing this thread back from the dead since many people have had this same issue, though there is not much information reported back on what the actual problem was. My car has a short somewhere (no dash lights, right tail light out, keeps blowing the 7.5a fuse). All the connections look fine at the tail light, so I guess I'll pull the cluster and stereo to see if there are any bad connectors there. If anyone has any feedback on likely culprits, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Dave

I found it, it was the cigarette lighter. Pulled the power plug to it and the circuit works fine now. Now I'll just see if an aftermarket power port will work in the hole or if I need to get a Mitsu one.
