Jet Performance anyone?

Apparently someone else has figured out how to flash our ECU, or at least claims to know how.

"The kit provides you with all the materials required to safely send your vehicle computer to JET’s lab for a high performance software upgrade. Once we receive your ECU it will be programmed according to the information you provide on the vehicle specification sheet to optimize performance and mileage to match your specific modifications. JET's exclusive Dynamic Spectrum Tuning provides optimal performance across the entire power band-not just at full throttle. Programming includes extensive modification to air/fuel ratios, ignition advance and boost pressures for turbo applications."

Ladies and Gentleman....JET Performance

EDIT: You can also get a discount on their products at DriveWire.com

I wouldn't chance it on something that no one else has on the 4g69. Also there is already a proven reflash that's out why take a chance?

How much is this one? Also, i always wondered, how much is the hackish reflash anyways? I never really found the answer to that.

Hackish = $500

JET = $299 with discount at drivewire.

I am interested to know what the differences actually are.

Have you actually talked to jet performance to see of they can work with our cars? Because they are a "universal" company and while they might have some platforms that work well , it doesn't mean they have all bases covered.

I remember when everyone just wanted the reflash , now it's here and people want something else. Hackish put literally years of work into the 4g69 reflashes. You get what you pay for and I highly doubt jet performance has put more than a few hours of work if it's even available. Something else to keep in mind is with the reflash you will have unlimited updates,new reflashes, 2-step, idle increase, rpm increase, timing -/+, governor removal, to name a few.

Once the software is out you can have a full race tune , street tune, auto x tune , and gas saver tune available on the fly.

I am not endorsing JET at all, I just like to post interesting things when I find them. My only gripe with hackish is that from what I read and see he seems so busy its like trying to catch a ghost. Is the software readily available now or would I have to mail my ECU and wait three months to get it back?

software is in beta testing, when you purchase a tune and software license, you can download the latest beta version, with all unfinished features locked out...the last release i downloaded only had read/write and DTC scanning/clearing...but my stock ECU rom, my N/A tune, and my turbo tune are available on the UVtune server, i can login and download which ever one i want to run, so basically once the software is out i can create multiple turbo tunes, and have one for the track and one for the street and switch back and forth at will...

The hackish price is very competitive regardless. You also get launch control and higher rpm limit thrown in.

You get what you pay for, do not ever forget that. 500 and instant plug 'n play for what is proven over a few years now, or 300 + tons of your own effort/frustration probably down the drain: your choice.
