My car is making this squeaking, chirping sound kind of like a cricket. It sounds like a belt but its not too loud. I can hear it pretty easily though. It doesnt matter if Im stopped and in neutral or in gear rolling down the road, I can hear it. I can make it stop by lightly touching the clutch. What is it? It also seems my clutch is feeling a little crunchy, but it could just be in my head. Ive noticed this squeak for about 2 months and its getting worse.

happens to all of us... I had it when i had my stock clutch and original slave cylinder. And have it now with my work clutch and a new slave and master cylinder... I think its something vibrating within the slave cylinder/transmission connection thats creating the squeak.

I've replaced both the master and slave.. still no luck, sounds like something is making contact with the engine vibration. Maybe the filled motormounts might work out?

I've had this for years, I've never been able to figure out what it is, but I only get it when cruising at 70-74 mph. Same as everyone else, it stops when I gently rest my foot on the clutch pedal.

My best guess is that the release fork vibrates against the slave cylinder piston, or against the TOB, but I'm really not sure.

Dude, recirculate that *****! We just put a divorced O2 housing/open wastegate dump on a friend's Evo. Holy hell, WOT through a tunnel practically makes your ears bleed.

I think the rattling is just a design flaw, rather than something that's actually wrong. I replaced my release fork and pivot point at the same time I did my clutch and the noise still came back.

Which part? Recirc? That's the wrong term and what I get for not rereading my post. What I meant was take the wastegate dump and merge it into the downpipe.

Thats where i thought it went....am i missing something? One pipe goes from the manifold to the wastegate an the other goes to the downpipe...at least thats what i think it does....

IIRC, on RRM's kit, the wastegate exhaust, after leaving the wastegate, just dumps to atmosphere, it doesn't go back into the main exhaust. That's why it's so loud.
