same problem

I have a 04 Ralliart with almost 55,000 and the same sound everybody else is talking about has been happening to me for a while now id say at least 6 months. All I have to do is bairly touch the clutch and it stops for a short time. pretty annoying

No idea how to fix it.....

I went to my mechanic after I located the noise from under the hood. It was comming from an "arm" that the master slave cylinder connects an goes into the tranny. Mechanic said itwasinside the tranny. He said it is the release bearing on the clutch. the bearing is suspose to keep spinning when driving and if it is bad or got dirty, it will spin but stop at times and this susposefully is what makes that noise

sounds like that could be the problem.

Haven't fixed it yet, tranny has to come out obviously and that cost some $$$

Well, since I got the noise on a brand new release bearing, and it sounds the same as it did on my old one, I'm not going to worry about it. I'm going to go with ignore it.

Had the same thing happen to me. After I installed a new clutch (Works clutch), and a new OEM TOB it immediately started making the sound, moreso than it did on my stock clutch. I'm just used to it now...
