Unhappy everyone help me! charging system failure

PLEASE READ THIS AND HELP ME OUT!!! Im all out of ideas

k well i just put in the rrm turbo kit. and after that my alternater is not charging my car. not putting out any power at all! however everything worked before i did the install. i used a drill to get through the thick rubber gromet so i could put through the vac line and 5th injector line through. so may have cut lines but i checked and couldnt feel any knicked or cut. and went very slow ensuring i was away from the thick wad of wires when i drilled it.

also my check battery/charging system warning light which is on the dash/guage cluster does not come on at all! not even when the key is turned to the "ON" position before starting the car. and it should come on as do the other lights abs, srs, check engine light etc. those all come on and go away after starting car. but my battery light doesnt come on at all, so i think its something to do with that as well.

here are the things i tried so far...

1. replaced alternater 3 times. mine and 2 others still nothing. none sending a charge or source of power.

2. checked all lines/connection. all connections are good and in place. used volt meter to test the wires that go from ecu to alternater and are getting a current.
so 2 wires go to ecu data in and out. 1 wire for power (couldnt find where it connects to inside of car)and 1 i believe for the ignition wire. (couldnt find where the wire goes inside of the car) and then of course your thick wire which connect to ur positive side of battery seperated by a fuse to charge your battery. (which has no power going through it at all)!

3. swapped out ecu thinking it might have been shorted out. but its not. same thing.

4. checked all connections and fuses. all are good and in working order.

are there any mechanics here that would know whats wrong with my car. or anyone have any other ideas or suggestions? im all ears and open to suggestions. need help. PLEASE

check to make sure your battery terminals are clean of corrosion,

mine have gotten really bad build up on them in the past from not fastening the battery tight enough which caused a bad connection and the alternator never charged my battery.

hope this helps? only thing i could think of.

check the wiring harnesses for continuity on each end, you could have pulled a wire out of a harness on one end and not known it. that's about all I have

what about the wires from the alternator to battery? you had to disconnect them to remove the alternator, if you pulled a wire loose from the connector the battery won't charge. it would be hard to see (but easy to measure) because of the wire casings and looms.

like I said, that's all I got so take it or leave it

well the wire from the alt that goes to battery is all connected good and that wire is like 1/4 inch thick. but that has no current flowing through it when car is running. but its all hooked up right

no thats the only thing i can charge up to start/ run the car to keep testing it.

the alt. itself is not charging. something is not sending the signal to tell it to charge.

So your not getting anything on the output wire of the alternator?
For some reason im thinkin that there isnt anything that "tells" it to charge but i could be wrong..

well now adays the alter has 1 big wire which goes to the battery to charge it. and 4 small ones that plug in to the alter. and i manage to find that 1 wire is constant power 2 wires go straight to the ecu (data in, data out) and 1 wire im guessing ignition.

check the wires pull on them gently to see if theyll come out they shouldnt come out with a gentle tug. on both ends of the wire. check battery for corrosion and battery cables might have corrosion inside the actual cable check down them if there are any knicks or anything

no the wires are secure and it has nothing to do with the battery. there is no power at all coming from the alter post itself.

The part that you said earlier about your battery light not coming on is interesting to me. that little battery light should be on at all times now since your car isn't charging (in my opionion). i think it has to do with a cut or frayed wire from your install or drilling. it seems that whatever wire communicates with ecu and dash lights isn't connected or damaged. if you can, i would try to check that, especially around were you worked.... i know i've seen on here wiring diagrams for ecu's, try to find any wire for the charging system. these are just my ideas may be wrong, just putting them out there.
