This is for my daily driver. No race, no track. I drive about 75 mi. a day. Sometimes I need to hard brake in traffic.

Hey D1no,

Thank you for your interest in my rotors. You can use any type of pads you like with my rotors just as long as they are rotor friendly like no FULL ceramics. (Most ceramics for the streets have additives to help soften the compound so you shouldn't have to worry). To be honest with you, all iron cast rotors will eventually rust, we try to prevent the rotors from rusting or from rusting soon. The rust protection coating for The Premium rotors is applied on the hub and inner vane structures (black e-coating), while th eline series gets the silver zinc dip.

Check you my group buy for my Premium rotors:

Those R1 rotors look nice. I've had Power Slot and regular vented Brembo's and have been satisfied with both. Both were way better than stock.

Ok I just got a pair of rotors a few days ago from R1 and I was wondering would just replacing my stock rotors with these ones be okay? Would the old pads destroy my new rotors? I'm not sure what pads are on my car right now... whatever firestone put on it I guess... but would I need to change out the pads in order to use these now? If anyone has any input that would be awesome
