So I was driving to work today at 6:15AM when my Ralliart's Service Engine Soon light came on and I lost almost all power in the throttle. I had no HP and no torque. My car would only make it up to 3000RPM until it acted as if I was hitting the rev limiter. I seriously could not got over 50MPH in 5th grear.

I think it may be a MAF problem.

 

It could be dozens of things. Your car is in limp mode. You need to pull the code from the CEL and that'll tell you where to start looking.

Like he said....pull the code and post it up. That will let you know what to fix. There are a few reasons to make the car switch to limp mode.

 

Ok guys, It was the throttle body sensor, real easy fix.

 

Yeah, very easy, pattern failure on our car. New one runs about $120, and takes about 3 minutes of your time to swap out.

 

I'd prefer $3 and 120 minutes of my time!

 

That would only work if you drove a Honda.
