Battery - boot

as to the question with the battery boot install in regards to the earthing.

It's best to ground the negative terminal of the battery to both the chassis close to the battery install as well as running a o gauge ground cable back to the stock ground point.

Grounding anything in the boot (other than the main ground point) will make no difference.

Google AWG for a description. If you plan to do this mod the less aestetic but cheapest and best quality solution is to use welding ground cable. Stereo cable unfortunately is not good for the temps in the engine bay. It catches fire when it melts and falls on hot engine parts. Ask me how I know.

Also, if you do this mod you should first research what a ground loop is. In time the factory grounds do degrade so in that case this is a valid mod to do.

If you like rewiring stuff then rewire your headlights with some 8gauge. That's definitely worthwhile!
