Question Will Magnaflow Catback Exhaust #15805 fit '06 RA?

ok. I have searched everywhere online and in this forum for this. Someone has got to know! I want to get exhaust for my 2006 RA and my buddy has a 2004 RA and he has Magnaflow Catback Exhaust and it sounds amazing!!! I want to get it but I have been looking around and I cant seem to find the system that will fit my RA anywhere except RRM.

I called RRM and asked them the question below, and the guy I talked to wasn't very helpful. All he told me was that the Magnaflow they sold for 2006 Ralliart does not have a part # (such as 15805), and that Magnaflow does not make a Catback system for my vehicle... .. ... .....?

With that being said, what is the difference between the RRM Magnaflow Catback Exhaust (shown here) for $519.00 + shipping, which I know will fit my vehicle because it is available specifically for my 2006 RA on their site

AND

this Magnaflow Catback System #15805 (shown here) offered by CVR Motorsports (whom told me should fit my vehicle) for $350.00 free shipping?

I don't think this one will fit on a RA...it says for an ES-OZ...An other thing you can do is making it custom...buy magnaflow's mufflers and resonator and go to an exaust shop to do it!!!

i have a magnaflow system and it's awesome, however, it didn't come as a kit. I got a local exhaust shop to fab a system up for me and got the universal resonators and mufflers from magnaflow, and then got them to mandrel bend the pipes and put them in. =)

Won't fit unless you customize it, would require relocating the hangers.

IIRC, the one RRM sells is completely built by them, using Magnaflow resonator/muffler.

your best bet if you want to put it in yourself is to go with the RRM one, otherwise if you are getting someone else putting it in, it MIGHT be cheaper if you let them do the custom work of fitting it and all, but be sure to take it to a good shop because the first shop I went to had bad bends and it hit the rear lower control arm

ok. I dont know too much about exhaust systems, but what Im assuming is that both magnaflow catback systems (RRM and CVR) will fit my 2.4L 2006 RA, however, with the CVR I will have to customize the fitting?

Unless you know how to weld, you won't be able to do the customizing yourself.

the magnaflow one by RRM is built by RRM using Magnaflow parts and is designed for the 4G69 engine on the CS7A chassis (the 04-06 ralliarts) [this is the chassis/engine that you have according to your profile]

The one you gave in the link is built by Magnaflow using Magnaflow parts and is Designed for the 4G94 engine on the CS6A Chassis (the 02-03 lancers)

Therefore the one that you gave listed on CVR will NOT fit your car.

The reason why magnaflow does not market one on their website for the 4G69/CS7A engine/chassis is because they themselves do not make one for the 4G69/CS7A engine/chassis. they only make one for the 4G94/CS6A engine/chassis.

If you want a bolt up system, your only choice is the RRM system. however, if you want the shop to do a custom system for you, they can do just about anything, you pick the exhaust tip (click here), the muffler (click here), and the resonator (click here) if you don't know what to choose, the exhaust shop can help you there, but you will probably want 2.25 inch piping, so choose the muffler/resonators with and inlet/outlet of 2.25inch

but if you want it to be easier get the RRM one, bring it to an exhaust shop, and tell them you want them to put it in for you

hope this clears things up
cheers
