Question to tint or not to tint..

ok i was wanting to get my windows tinted for a few reasons, well obviously for some privacy, and so people dont get curious whats in my car, and also to help with the sun on bright days, that and so the sun doesn't fade my interior. i was telling my friend about getting my windows done soon and he said it was a bad idea to get them done while its still cold out, and that it would be better to get them done in the warmer weather, say like later spring/summer time. is it cause the tint will stick evenly or problems with air bubbles when the weather gets warmer? if someone could give a me a good reason not to get them done while the weather is cold i would appreciate it. TIA

If installed correctly, it wont really matter IMO.

just keep garaged from a day or two to be on safe side to make sure before taking it out into cold.

TINT FTW!

You answered your own question Joey.. The answer is....
[drumroll------]

Is it worth the risk of that one tinter being bad at doing subpar jobs and prepping it properly for a winter climate and have to do it all over again?

Personally I'd check your local laws beforehand, in my experience with a legal limit of 35% all around and having 23% in front and 14% in back... It isn't worth it, though it looks sick! Luckily I have enough connections to get out of most tickets, but if I didn't I'd have about 3 fix-it's and a ton of just regular "you're tint it too dark, pay 250$" tickets...

Sorry about the over emphasis, I'm bored at work. :-D

if you get it done by a professional that knows what hes doing, you will be fine. i just got mine done about 2 weeks ago while it was really cold outside. looks sweet no bubbles. went with 30% for fear of "fix it tickets". kinda wish i went darker but when the ticket is 250 and the tint cost 165, isnt worth it. gl bro and make sure u get llumar tint

Im lucky i guess, im pretty sure here you can tint your rear as dark as you want but for the front your not supposed to tint at all but you can get away with a not so dark tint on front. cops arnt too picky around here for tint.

also i had my girlfriends windows tinted in december, came out fine

I just got my windows tinted last month and I didn't keep it garaged after and it is perfect now. 35% all-around. I was nervous at first, and was going to wait until it got warmer outside, but I found a place that has a lifetime warranty, and I love it!

and it all depends on where you live and the weather for how much trouble cops give you.

down here in Texas, I have 5% in rear and 15% front 2 windows (IIRC legal limit is ~20%ish?), and it can be so hot in the summer I guess cops dont care. I've had them for about 14 months, and never had a word said about them.

It's up to you if you think its worth the risk.
