ralliart battery

so i had to get a new battery today, due to that mine was dead.
and so they look up the 04 lancer 2.4 and give me the one it says is for it.
get home swap them... then notice the battery's terminals are switched. and i didnt have it in backwards and the wires werent long enough to reach when i terned it around.

so i took it back and said it had to have been the wrong battery. they look up my car again and it still says that it was the right one.

so then they pulled up the evo and grabbed the battery for that and compared it to my old battery and boom, match. same size, terminals on the right side and everything.

so was their computer wrong? do ra's use the evo sized battery's? or, i doubt this, but did whoever owned the car before me switch something? ( i dont think thats possible though cause i believe it was the same battery and everything on my previous ra)

i just though this was weird. this was at autozone btw

according to the optima battery look up, the base lancers use a group 35 battery while the RA uses a group 25. The evos use either a 25 or 35, but probabyl most commonly the 25, thats why it showed up =)

Whenever I go to autozone and they look up parts for my car when going through the whole selecting the make and model of the car they always go straight to the 2.0L engine automatically instead of looking at the 2.4... you should check and see which engine they pick for their search criteria
