My suspension is hosed
My suspension is hosed
I'm trying to locate a place where I can buy the appropriate parts to fix the suspension on my 2004 Ralliart, but I'm having problems locating this info; and I'd prefer to avoid my local dealer.
About a year and change ago, I wrecked my car; really tore up the front end of the car, messing up the steering and suspension really bad. I had the repairs done by a local shop who did all of the repairs they were supposed to. I got my car back and was on my way, seemingly oblivious to any problems.
Unfortunately, last week, the lower control arm on the passenger side (the opposite side of where most of the damage from the accident occured) seemingly gave out, taking my CV half-axle at least along with it and doing some damage to my front fender. Usually, these just don't break, and I suspect it's related to my accident, but I'm screwed because too much time has passed between the accident and this incident.
Right now, I am not concerned about the cosmetic damage; just the mechanical. I need to find at least the control arm and half-axle assembly for the passenger side. I don't know what the name of the piece is, but I am afraid I might also need the part that connects the upper and lower control arm, that the half-axle runs through, that is closest to or connects to the hub assembly.
I did some research on the CV half-axles, and found a couple for RAs without ABS; I don't know if there is a difference between the non-ABS and ABS CVs since I have ABS.
Anybody have any suggestions of companies I can call or sites I can go to in order to find parts? Anybody also have any idea of what parts I might need? I can include pictures if they will help.

www.indianapolisrackandaxle.com has rebuilt axles for our car. There's a core fee, though, and since you don't have a core, it's going to be expensive. You need the ABS axle, otherwise your ABS won't work anymore.
www.car-parts.com is an online junk yard search site. That's a good place to go to find the control arms, hub, etc.
www.mitsubishiparts.net for any of the big parts you need to buy new
Your local autoparts store for the little stuff, like wheel bearings and the like.
If you can get it, please post up a picture of where your control arm came apart. I'm curious if it's in the same spot as where CF-Ninja's came apart a couple years ago. Seems some of the Ralliart control arms have a welding defect.

You say toma-toe I say tomah-toe.
Isn't this the 3rd known instance of this happening? Gotta be more than that, as not all Ralliart owners are EvoM members.
Would be interesting to see as the older the cars get, how long it takes for this to happen more often.
