tsb

i was looking on the tsb website and i saw that there was a tsb on the the lancers tie rod, back in october of 08, in march i have to replace for the same reason that was stated on the tsb , should i contact mitsubishi .

TSB != warranty. If your car was out of warranty you still would've had to pay them to fix it.

warranty fail... haha
TSB and all those other lovely notes mitsu fails to send to its customers are only good for warrantied cars. You can go ahead and replace your own tie rods, its not an expensive job either. Wait till you have to replace the front control arms and rear trailing arms.. luckily mines were still under warranty.

OP, do you have a link to this TSB? I'm curious about it since I just recently replaced one of my inner tie rods. Wondering if it's related, or if it's pothole damage like I previously assumed.

TSB can also mean Transportation Safety Board.

What brand are you replacing them with? I used the Raybestos Pro Grade inner tie rid and tie rod end when I did my passenger side.

The first time it was still under warranty so im assuming the stealership put oem ones on, this time i just put Moog ones on.

From what I am reading the TSB has to do with the Tie Rods? does anyone know the reasoning of the replacement?

I just looked up all the TSBs on the NHTSA website, the only thing in there regarding the tie rods is a service manual revision.
