Well my clutch master cylinder goes out on me.It was leaking an my car would not go into gear. No big deal. I order another from oemmitsubishiparts.net. an throw her in.(great company btw ill tell later)
Well two months go by an it starts grinding going into gear again. I look under the hood an that **** is leaking again!
Could there be another issue here?
I bled the cylinder itself b4 i put it in then i bled the clutch like i should. Props to the guys that sold it to me.They had the best price an the warranty was out an they sent me another anyway. Well now i have to install another an if any of you have done it b4 you know its a **** to get to.
Well i just wanted to rant an maybe get a few sugg.

Bleed it... then bleed it again, when you think you're done bleed it again. I went through 3 of these before I just sat there for LITERALLY 2 hours bleeding to be sure. Bleed the little nipple on the unit first, I didn't prime mines at all. I installed it, filled it up and bled the top over and over (sucks because you loose the fluid) then when I was tired and exhausted I bled the slave cylinder as well. Then went back up top and did that one.
The mastercylinders for our cars suck, and suck even more to install. The slightest bit of air in the system will make it leak.
Mines leaked where the 4 bolts hold that stupid plate down...

Its a real pain
I'll sell you that spare transmission i have. if memory serves me correctly, the only thing missing is the clutch arm from it.
but i garantee, IF i sell you the tranny, than as soon as i get my lancer back on the road a synchro will blow lol.

Its just the stupid cylinder
man I have had to replace my slave twice, my master twice and my whole clutch plate twice. I had the same exact leak from my master as you did....my friend is a mechanic and i still have the master in my trunk but he showed me it was leaking from the four screws. I guess there's not much we can do except pray it doesn't happen again!
no one seems to read things from me lol ..... i shared with everyone on how to fix this problem and i have never had a problem sence i did so. search my post for the clutch slave and have a good time.

to solve that problem is easy just open that plate with four bolts and under it you will see another round plate and under that round plate is a little hole where pressure come out, you can weld that hole to block pressure from coming out or put a screw to block that hole where pressure escapes and problem solve. then put everything back together and have a nice ride, and you can use any heavy duty clutch plate with out worries. and don't tell anyone its a secret....

After many different tries so far the only thing working is the make a gasket and some heavy duty sealer...
. Ive stopped getting new ones and just been trying different methods with the one i have now. So far the make a gasket and High tack gasket sealant seem to be working for now. Ill update if it fails me.
