tie rods

my mechanic friend told me i needed new tie rod ends. can i do this in my garage or should i suck it up and take it the stealership? i have basic tools and i dont have a lift.

well you see, people go to this thingy called work. and then after they go home, maybe for a beer before that even, and then they eat and relax, and then they use their computers and check emails, and forums, and so on.
Can't expect an answer within 4 hours.
For a really quick answer though, there's always the telephone.

This is a great example of the mentality that greatly contributes to the terrible attitude of most Americans, called entitlement.
