noob question
so i ended up ordering this one:
http://www.logical-source.com/MITSUB...NCER-2964.html
it was like $20 shipped, arrived in 2 days, its a direct fit, you dont have to cut anything, you literally unscrew the old one one, slide it out, slide in the new one and screw it back in using the same screws.

To me, it seems that the OEM filter would do a better job filtering particles out from the air since its not just a carbon filter but it looks nice and tight, compared to a furnace filter where the filtering material looks loose where a lot of dirt might be able to make it through.
So what do you base your comment on that it seems to filter better than the OEM?
It just seems like it wouldnt.

A house furnace filter will do a better job than any OEM/OEI replacement. We're not talking about the cheap blue fiberglass filters. We're talking about the nice 3M (or similar) filters. I like the Natural Aire ones for the car because they don't have the wire mesh on them, so they're easier to cut.
Looking at that filter and the carbon imprinted mitsu OEM filter, the 3M filter doesnt seem like it would give the same kind of filtration the OEM one would.
It just doesnt make sense in my head right now lol.
