I'm pretty sure its a direct swap as most of the evo interior fits without modification except back seats and the wheel for the 06 ralliart

I have heard that you could have the dealership clear the Odometer and have them put the new mileage on the Evo cluster. If this is true you could just explain to them why you are doing it.

I had an Evo 8 Cluster (NO-ACD) in my 06 RA. It was direct fit. However, some bulbs were not matching. As exemple, the Evo does not have a Cruise Control, but my RA did. When I was activating the CC, the "windshield washer fluid is low" build was lighting up.

The other "issue" I had is that the ABS light was always on. I just took the bulb out.

My Evo 8 cluster is for sale. Since you live in Canada, and I live in Canada, shipping should be cheap. PM me if you want it and I'll get back to you with a price. Odometer is around 53 000 miles.

could you just take out the part that says 'evolution' and switch it with the 'lancer' part from our gauges, so that way the lights work properly
