123k. What to do.

So my 04 RalliArt has 123k on the OD, and as was noted in a previous thread I have not done the typical 60k or 100k services on the car. So I am at a crossroads with the car. I don't want to trade it in since it's nice not to have a car payment, but how many more miles can I get out of it.

So far this is what I know what needs to be done.

60k/100k service. Timing Belt kit, plug & coils, balance belt, fuel filter, coolant, water pump, fuel filter.

Rear squeak. Been there for 110k miles. Not sure if it's struts, bushings, or what. I am sure that something needs to be done.

Broken strut? The ride height on my right rear tire has changed a good 1". I think that I may have broken a strut, which I am sure will require all four to be changed out.

Brakes. For 60k I have had brake issues. Lots of vibration on light/medium pedal. I've had new rotors put on, pads changed, but the problem persists.

Clicking. Noticed that on hard left turns I head some clicking. CV half shaft? Something else?

So with all that needing to be done, is it worth it to keep it. Should I stick with OEM or think about some aftermarket parts?

123'000 miles? and you havent done the 100k service?
Should you choose to keep the car (on a reliability standpoint I dont see why you wouldnt unless you've grown bored of it) better get on that preventive maintenance.

Maybe the vibration on the brake pedal is from an out-of-round tire or simply out-of-balance wheel(s).

I'd replace all 4 struts, strut bearings and all bushings.

I'd say the car is good for at least another 100k.

I don't think it's out of alignment, either that or my car has a case of going out of alignment every 15k. I am thinking struts, bearings, even CV joint could all be playing a role.

Right now I am planning to keep it. Are there other preventative things I should be looking at?

Not sure where you're getting alignment out of this, but just do whatever it says in the user manual for the 100k service and you're good.

For reference, go here: http://www.mitsubishicars.com/media/...aintenance.pdf and scroll down to the 120'000 mile maintenance interval.

I just odered parts for my 120k too, I am in the same boat too , I have severely neglected my car for a long time and doing some major over haul. Heres A list of things I went with

Serpentine Belt
Alternator belt
camshaft seal
valve cover seal (if u adjust valve lash as well)

MR994968 Timing belt
MN137247 Timing belt tensioner pulley
MR984375 Timing belt auto-tensioner
MR984778 Balance shaft belt
MD352473 Balance shaft belt tensioner pulley
MD979395 Water pump kit (includes gasket and O-ring)

of course oil filter , oil change, transmission oil change, and coolant changes. Given that the Mitsu stuff is so damn durable I went with oem parts, I recommend the same for everyone. I mean it last you twice the recommended interval, why risk the cheap stuff... on the downside all the stuff cost me USD550 shipped but I know its worth it.

still need to get plugs though are the coils necessary?
