Just got a CEL with P0456 code

That's the "Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (Very Small Leak)"

What does this mean?

It came on while I was driving and after I parked I gave it a few revs and I think its making an odd noise, but it could just be me making up things (it sounded kind of raspy? I guess).

thanks guys

Just read this page:
http://www.obd-codes.com/p0456

Should I just go check the gas cap then?

I did so and started it up again, everything seems fine and I cleared the CEL, it hasn't come on again.

Cap didn't seem loose but maybe i hadn't threaded it correctly when i screwed it back in (I was in a hurry).

just turn it enough to get it to click. if the code comes back try seeing if you can get a replacement gas cap at autozone and see if that fixes it. if not you may have to take it to get it looked at
