Paint Color
Wait a minute your RA has over 164k ???!?!??!! Man I'm loving the ralliart more and more it seems she will last forever mine only has 55k ... As for paint I would only do what's within reason so you can put you money into important parts of the car unless that is important to you . Whatever you choose keep us posted ....
it needs sanding anyway, new color or not. it has lots of little chips and bad spots in the paint currently, previous owner drove it for 164k mi and i guess there were lots of little pebbles and stuff, and voila, you have my car's paint. and its rusting in some spots. (tiny spots, but they need sanding to put my mind at ease)
Hood is pretty chipped and have a couple spots of rust. I'll probably have the hood sanded down, repaired, and resprayed this summer, just to make sure the rust spots don't become something more.
at 160k i think you should probably make sure your car is well maintained and able to last a couple thousand miles more before u paint it. i have a labrahdor black ra. personally i think its the best color cause black goes with anything example you could do black car with black rims if you have stock rims do black powder coat with a red lip it will look sick thunder grey could probably pull it off too.
Dodge stealths came in a sweet electric blue back in the nineties, or i saw an Acura TL in an awesome blue that had the slightest hint of ultraviolet to it. And I do mean slightest bit. but it was an eye magnet for sure, I damn near bought the car for the color, and i dont even like Acuras!
yes, mine has 184k. i put 20k on it since i bought it last May.
rotor glow would be sweet, yet expensive.
rainbow RA= H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS NO!
mine is running pretty damn well for a car w/ 184k on it.
and it got its feet a little wet in these Tennessee floods this weekend. (no pics tho)

As long as you're getting the car painted, have the grille and/or fog surrounds sprayed at the same time. Rattlecan isn't as good, you'll get chips in the paint very quickly.
(does anyone think painting the fog surrounds is stupid?)

no way in hell im gonna pay him $3500 to paint the car.
and if i do get it repainted anytime, ill just go with TG.
