Weather Stripping fading

So I tried searching around but couldn't find anything... maybe I suck at searching.

At any rate, I am trying to clean my exterior up a bit, its been threw a beating. I noticed around the window that black part under the window (I guess its weather stripping) has discoloration and fading...

Looks fine from far, but up close...

When I feel it, it feels raised. But I've tried washing, scrubbing, detail spray, any other suggestions? Also, does back to black work pretty well for fading plastic pieces? Thanks

UV damage, typical when you dont protect it.... i like to use turtle ice on all plastic exterior trim, keeps it looking wet for few weeks as well as giving some protection. infact i bet if you used turtle ice even now, it will hide the faded look very well.

I'm going to try the back to black on the plastic and get some protectant for it. I'll try scrubbing that stuff off and putting protectant on the weather stripping too.

So the back on black just makes it streaky and darker colored.... and I hear the back to black also wipes off if the surface you are applying it to is really smooth??

I applied that back to black stuff to the parts you are pointing out and it came out a lit bit better.
