axleback exhaust question??

Hey guys, i finally had a custom axleback magnaflow muffler welded and put on my car, but i dont have the stock resonator on my car and it sounds pretty raspy. Would i get that low deep rumble tone that everyone else has if i were to buy a resonator and put it back in the place of where the stock one was?

Is your magnaflow resonator a straight through design or is their the baffling peices in the middle of the pipe? I have a Brand new megan resonator that is 2.25 inlet and didnt know if it will make it less raspy and deeper sound or if it will make it louder lol.

Mine is straight through design... I'd say any resonator should make it quiter, and never louder...don't expect a super stock like tone, but it does make it more quite and less raspy for sure. Most resonators tend to drop 5-15 decibels...

I went to the exhaust shop today and had them cut off the flanges on the stainless megan resonator, lol the shop manager said they went through 6 blades just trying to cut the flanges off each end. But they got it all welded in. Very happy with it sounds awesome now. No rasp anymore.
