Evo VIII kit

My front bumper's got some dings in it so I was thinking of replacing it with either an evo 8 front or the whole kit. This site seems to be a bit cheaper than the extreme dimensions site and I also found an online coupon for 10% off. Anyone familiar with andy's? I think I saw some people in the show n shine that had the extreme dimensions bumper if i remember right. The front itself is like 168 or something.

Andysautosport is a middle man , they don't have a warehouse or one part in stock . They call the company that has the part and then orders it. Terrible customer service, and if you have a problem they have to go back and call said company they got it from.

I'd only get the front bumper, what is needed.

My Evo is at the body shop now, some idiot (ME) took off w/o latching hood... Got a Vis Racing c.f. hood from Andy's cheaper than at Vis Racing, and fast delivery. Also ordered hood pins ( so your hood doesn't fly up! ) , the ones I ordered were not available and Andy's called on a Sunday. I had exellent service from Andy's.

I am truly surprised , I guess it's a Florida thing. My friends and have had nothing but problems with them. It took over 3 months to get parts, in all cases one actually took 6 months.

So I think I'll go with Andy's cause it's a 45 dollar difference from extreme. Does anyone know if it fits fine or if it needs to be modded in any way to fit?

From canada (quebec). Try them out. They seemed to be the hype on my Mazda forums.

When i was looking for that type of bumper it was a tossup between Andys an Extreme.
iirc Extreme was cheaper because of the shipping.

Try not to get a full fiberglass bumper. If you dislike dings then you gunna hate one of those. They crack sooo easily.
The duraflex material is awesome. i just wasnt all that happy with the fitment.

Looks like they are middle men as well. Those are the same bumpers extreme dimensions sell. Shipping may be cheaper for you though.

yeah I'll call them up to get shipping quotes today. The only thing i don't want is any fitting hassle but since i can't find reviews on other bumpers, they may have the same issue, I dunno. I was thinking of the evo 9 bumper but it's a little more aggressive and i'm not sure how it would look on the RA without the rest of the kit.

Evo 9 looks like this

Make sure to ask if the bumper has factory mounting points. If they do not then you will have to pay to get a lip fabricated to the bumper so you can install you factory brackets.

No i did not. I had a certain amount budgeted for bumper and paint. So i just had him mount it at the four points they gave me. The only part that fit incorrectly was where it curves around the corner by the headlight. Its not horribly noticeable but you can see it if your looking for it. Oh an you have to get rid of your crash bar as well.

yeah I saw on rrm for the evo 9 front that "Front bumper will require modifying the inner crash bar" so i was thinkin it would be the same as the 8.

How much was the paint? I was thinking of taking my car to maaco and just getting the whole thing painted at some point, so i'll probably wait to put the bumper on then. Not sure if i'll wait till the spring though or do it before.
