Engine Bay Difference Between the Trims?
Engine Bay Difference Between the Trims?
I've been looking around the net for the pass hour or so but I can't seem to find pictures to compare the Engine Bay of an 2006 RA and 2006 other trims. Can't really find anything useful.
The reason for this is cause im looking to buy an RA. But from the pictures of this person that's selling it, im being suspicion whether its being passed off AS an RA but is actually the lower trims. Only cause it seems to be missing the RA logo on the front grill.
Here is the AD

Can anyone tell me what else I can look for to tell the difference between an RA and the other Trims? Other than the Stickers, Wheels, MIVEC?
North American Models btw
Thanks a lot,

Thanks a lot,
it looks legit to me, the front lip, side skirts, and rear bumper look to be the same. I didnt see a pic of the engine bay to compare with mine, but as far as i can tell its for real. i'll try and upload a pic of mine first thing tomorrow so you can compare.
12,500 seems alot for this no? I mean i haven't been pricing, or car shopping in like 9 months. so I dont know. But last time I checked, you can get an evo for 16,500 and a brand new 2011 lancer DE for 11,000 12,500 for a non turbo 2.4 liter with 100,000 miles on it? ouch.

Yeah, it's Canadian play money, however, the exchange rate is currently in their favor thanks to our ****ty economy. So yeah, that price is far too steep. $9k tops.
Also, it's definitely a Ralliart. Other than the Evo, the Ralliart is the only Lancer with 5 lug hubs.

Looks like an RA - proper wheels etc.
The price? Can't compare at all to USA new/used markets so don't listen to these guys they don't know. Having our currencies at par right now has nothing to do with it.
Argue the price down with consumables: need new tires, brake discs and pads, rad flush, tranny flush, suspension struts will need replacing soon, stuff like that.
If it's in excellent condition with service records then maybe $10,500 to 11,000 is fair.

Oh thanks a lot guys! Yea I didn't remember that the RA is a 5 lug instead of a 4, that should do the trick =)
Yeah it's stupid how we're par with USD but everything up here is still way more expensive as retailers just want to make more money.
