Are you still driving the car now? How long can the car limp around with this damage, anyone know?

My trans is doing the same thing. It is the input shaft carrier bearings. I've been driving mine for about 3 months now with it making that clattering noise every so often. Usually, it's most notable while city driving, but it's not all the time for me. A friend of mine, Tim Zimmer is a DSM guy, he rebuilds these transmissions, I've put up his site before TMZ Performance. He told me as long as I don't beat it, it should last a while. Meaning no 2nd gear 4500rpm launches or anything like that.

FWIW -- I drive 70 miles a day back and forth from work, mostly highway @ 75mph and really don't have any issues. I'm going to hold out until spring and summer.

-- just got my Endevor TB -- giddy up!

eh where do you live? lol It's redline racing synthetic not sure how it stacks up to the synchromesh that everyone recommends here. But until I feel like I want my new engine and tranny in that's what I'm gonna use on the constant fluid exchange :P . I'm gonna be using the Synchromesh in my next tranny for a bit first to try it.
