Dead block heater...... darnit!

Seems my block heater has been dead for at least the past 2 days. I'd like to hear how many ppl this has happened to. This is a real ****-off, specially cause its been so cold out.
Taking it to the dealer as soon as I can tomorrow, this needs to get repaired.

Anyone know if this sucker has a fuse or anything like that that might of went bad?

figured in case any body has this issue, dealer replaced it under warranty. it's an accessory, but because the car came with it when i bought it they covered it.

As far as I've seen if a car is sold at a dealership with a block heater then it should be covered if it failed if there's a warranty. I would shoot myself in the foot and stay home if mine failed haha.

Could've possibly been a bad chord, I'm sure there's a fuseable link for the block heater (for safety's sake, I've heard of block heaters throwing breakers in houses before) somewhere but I've never gone looking for one

Dealer tested the resistance, down to 28 ohm of the minimum of 34 so they replaced the unit. Took em an hour.

Ah, well hopefully your new one doesn't tire out just as quickly as the last one then.

As for your gold bullion, Mitsubishi isn't just a car company it's in a conglomerate of companies, one of which I didn't know was a bank until you posted that.. see http://www.bk.mufg.jp/english/about/index.html, if you google image "mitsubishi gold bullion/bar" there's quite a few pictures of it haha.

I'd say that's a pretty cool fact I'll be sharing with my pretentious VW friend haha.
