After reading this thread the other day I went out and took a look at mine. I just purchased the car, but I highly doubt it was ever changed. There were leaves, dead spiders, caked full of dust and pollens.... ordered one.

got mine in the mail thursday, installed it today. quite happy with it. will order another and replace it half ways through the summer.
