Evo Airbag *Explosive Devise*

I want an EVo Steering with the Airbag

BUT I'm in Canada.... And I can't find one in my country.

All Evo Steering is in USA (Or other country)

The seller can't ship me an Airbag because it considered for an Explosive Devise.

Can you help to find a solution ?

How we can try to ship an Airbag to Canada ?

If the seller send only the Steering, the OEM LAncer Airbag can fit or not ?

Any Idea ?

I dont know if this is correct, but I thought Fed Ex will ship "Hazardous" items. I would look into Fed Ex.

It's called customs. The items in the box have to be declared, scanned, weighed, x-rayed and scrutinized before making it from the States to Canada by the courier. If his item wasn't international there would be no worries.

Look in to FedEx, I know Purolator has made a handful of exceptions for my dad's work,

I opened this thread in hopes of a "how-to" make an explosive device in the evo steering wheel. Not sure why that would excite me (or why anyone would ever do that), but it did; however, I find myself overwhelmed with sheer disappointment.

To the OP, goodluck getting your evo steering wheel.

In my experience, trying to ship an airbag is a nightmare.

The standard UPS Store and FedEx Office stores will not do it.

There are certain shipping companies that will properly prepare an airbag for shipment but it is quite expensive and a PIA to even find these companies.

I would not just throw it is a box and ship it. The liability you would incur in case of an accident is not worth it.

If anyone knows of a good alternative, I would love to know

I'm pretty sure an airbag needs an electrical charge to detonate.. Am I wrong in thinking this?

haha same, i was expecting 2 see another one of those pranks where you put the airbag under a cushion and wait for someone to hop on.

roblaza.. I'm pretty sure your correct with the electrical charger, but they still declare it as an explosive, well because there is a small amount of explosive in it. I think though, that if you have an airbag in the steering wheel, and ship it as just a Mitsubishi leather steering wheel, you should have no problem.

OP, the stock airbag from your lancer won't fit the Evo steering wheel.
