Not sure if the evo trans bolts up to the 4g69 or not. Also it is awd, so you are looking at a full awd conversion. If I'm not mistaken the RA trans is basically built with Evo parts and is pretty comparable other then not being 6spd and awd???
Honestly I would just find a nice low mileage RA trans from car-part.com

what's going in the transmission? it's too easy to replace parts if you know what's wrong with it...why buy a whole new one, it can't be all bad...

Unless you have around 3k for this project then your not ready one guy had made a list and even had alot of the parts but his car was stolen before he could do the awd conversion.

not to mention fabricating resources...i would imagine this would be quite an undertaking...

i don't think it's worth it, but if you don't want to be able to drive your car for months on end, it's your choice...it's not something that you can do in a couple weeks just to say you did...

I think the AWD conversion is dope def. but lots of work yes. You can get lucky and do it for cheaper but you just gotta be in the right place at the right time lol.

rebuilding the manuals are easy. Ive done quite a few Mitsubishi transmissions. Did third gear go? Its usually the one the goes first because people tend to push too far forward prematurely killing the synros in third. Doesnt cost much. Alot cheaper then buying another transmission.

Most people would say $27.32 plus some time out of your weekend sounds a whole lot better than buying a whole different trans or doing an awd conversion

you shouldn't be downshifting to 1st gear if you're moving, lol...wait till your pretty well stopped...

my first gear is stiff too...like if i come to a complete stop...if i can't let it roll, i rev a little bit with the clutch engaged and then disengage and it usually slides in...i'm cracking my tranny open next week, if i find any abnormal wear on the first gear, i'll let you know...but i wouldn't say your transmission is going...
