The upper console trim (gray part) is held with six plastic clips. It's fairly hard to get off by itself as it fits tightly under the center stack (radio, HVAC), but it might come out that way if you are careful.

Otherwise take out the rear console first (2 screws in bottom of storage tray, clips in front of cupholder).

Then the forward console (2 screws at rear and one under cupholder, clips under front side wings).

Unscrew the shift knob.

Disconnect the forward console main electric plug where it comes out under the rear of the forward console.

Slide the forward console back so you can unclip the upper trim and disconnect the electric plugs to the ashtray and lighter.

The gray upper console trim should lift off.
