Tomorrow (Monday) evening is lapping the long track, I'm going. Cranswick has influenced me again so I ordered a GoPro camera but it's not in yet (maybe tomorrow) and I want to play with it so if we do a track get-together later in the summer everyone can use it to make some nice video memories to take away.
p.s. I see Mosport has lapping days too, more expensive but do-able, maybe we can try that sometime, closer for the Toronto guys.

lol, i actually didn't end up going, wife made me help clean out the garage...
whenever you feel like coming over...

It's probably best the beautiful lady got her way, Cranswick... wait a minute, you "helped" clean out that garage?
The more sophisticated stuff was there last night with it's retired well-heeled owners - ZR1 corvette, supercharged jaguar, mercedes convertible, bmw, the new scion frs. I got a ride in the jag, very smooth, i still like my more frantic RA
The bmw guy was a retired racer, I asked him about Mosport, he said for cars it's a high-horsepower track, probably wouldn't have much fun there since even his bmw is lacking. Also it is unforgiving if you make a mistake, many concrete barriers (Shannonville is very "safe').
Interestingly, most of those cars had giant fancy brakes but the guys said they still overheated easily and so came in after a lap or two to cool down. I have not had any issues at all with the RA. Yay for the humble Japanese tuner car!
Near the end of the evening a young fella in a high strung turboed Supra spun out violently on his first lap and loose tools flew around the cabin, a wrench must have clocked him 'cause he came right in and spent a long time finding everything and totally emptying the car.
A week from Friday is the Test 'n' Tune (lapping + drags), I'll make that one, hopefully with camera. In mid-August is a full lapping day, apparently that is when everyone is on the track at the same time, gentlemanly passing allowed... we'll talk later.
p.s. buy yourselves a CG Lock - it makes all the difference!!!

Look at the September monthly calendar for the lapping days and test 'n tune. I should be at the next one Sept 7, I'll confirm soon.

Saw that. Its the best thing to fantasize about during these dog-days of winter!
Have to do the full lapping days. Got all my cooling equipment ready to install (pics to come) plus another cooling project I'm working on. More later.
sigh... I just know that, somehow, Cranswick will get out to a track before us
