automatic ralliart

I'm pretty much set on getting a ralliart as my first car (I'm 16, but not the usual lazy teenage driver), and as hard as I press to get a standard I'm prolly going to end up being overridden and getting an auto.

so my question is, have ANY of you driven an auto ralliart?

last time I stopped by the dealer they had 2, both standards, and i'm just curious as to how much sluggishness I can expect

I have an automatic Ralliart and I love it. I know you lose power when you get an automatic but mine still hauls

Get standard. You'll be kicking yourself a year later, because you want to drive stick, and youre stuck with autotragic.

I drove an automatic first and it was great, but then i drove the standard and it was soo much better, but the auto is good in that car, the car already picks up quick

Whaen I was 16 I got a beautiful black Mazda MX6 Mystere as a first car. Everyone I met all said it was a good looking car, but there was always one thing my guy friends told me: I like the car but its an automatic.

My opinion: DON'T DO IT.

Yah hilly area + losta traffic = Jus Like San Fran, I was there for about 3 months with my bro who drove stick all his life, he said he'd love to have an automatic when we were there.

So if ur gonna stay round that type of enviroment, and drive on teh highway/backroads more often than what u said, go auto. Nothin wrong with it.

I have driven stick for 10 years. I'm thru with it. I want a fun car to drive so I'm getting a Ralliart Sportback. If I wanted crazy performance, I'd just get an Evo. Besides... my motorcycle is still "stick".

Auto is fine. Mine kept up with a modded Civic SI (*manual*) up to 110 mph before we stopped. That alone says that the auto tranny doesn't hurt this car too much.

But it's definitely not sluggish. It'll pull.

It is all up to you. I have auto and i love it but i wish it was stick. I wanted a stick from the beggining but my parents didnt let me so i got the auto. Its still a great car.
