I have a silver 2005 ralliart nd im not sure if i should paint my hood black(professionally done by body shop) or jyst leave it silver, do u guys have any suggestions to help me out cuz im stuck!!

 

Well, it depends on what your plans for the car are. If you do the hood, I'd suggest getting vinyl due to the much lower cost and the fact you can take it off if you don't like it. If you do that, I'd also consider blacking out the roof but that's just me. The only negative to vinyl on the hood is the fact it takes a beating due to being right in the rock chip zone :P

 

i say leave it silver.

 

yeah, i don't like the look...it sorta looks like your girlfriend walked in on you bangin her best friend, then went to town on the hood of your car with a baseball bat, and you had to get a new hood from the junk yard and couldn't afford to have it painted...

I think a black hood "can" look good , usually never by itself. If you do paint it black , paint other random parts to kinda even it out , from front to rear. Things like painting the roof as well,tinted windows, a black vortex generator, paint the license surround black, maybe some blacked out head lights, depo tail lights , and blacked out side markers....
I'm basically describing my car lol, but a black hood alone with only the tires to match

 

i agree with CrAnSwIcK, it does look like your going through a mid-life crisis, but if you still planning on painting then lanzerralliart is right, paint other parts of the car to even in out, personally if you paint the hood, paint it all the way back, hood, roof and trunk, kinda like one continuous line

I'm of the opinion to keep it all color matched and not a specific black hood. However, it is YOUR car so do what YOU want.

 

This is the best advice, and makes your thread, and the question within it useless

 

but my stock hood, paint that black, and keep your stocker incase you ever sell your car.
