i was about to ask the same....about the suspension pack...i think your sales talked some BS...its not a package, its a stock equipment, has the evo short shift and diff suspension than the normal lancer

I think thats what he meant..as opposed to the other models do not have the upgraded suspension, wheels, shifter, gauges, etc...

It sounds like he got ripped but if you looked at where he's from that will explain it. He's from Canada and they seem to pay more or there dollar is worth less hell I don't know but everything in Canadian dollars is more.

My bad. you probably got a deal. The Focus SVT costs like 31,000 cnd before taxes.

I've been thinkin about gettin one from carmax..1,000 rebate till end of march=16,360. 17,500 w/ sun&sound package. Any feedback on buying through carmax vs. dealership?

I'm not waiting just to save a buck. I HAVE to wait (its called a drivers license). So even though I'm not waiting just for that, I'll still get it cheaper

I saw prices mentioned again recently, so I'll chime in with mine in here. At the end of February I paid $18.6k USD out the door with the sun, sound, and side air bags package, including a $1000 rebate from Mitsu. Everything down Not a record-setting deal, but good enough for me.

Well, an ad I saw in the paper the past 2 weeks has 1 dealer in town(there are 2) with it priced at $19,998(cdn) cash price, but after i phoned and did a little bartering they said they will give it to me financed for that when I go to buy in May...but time will tell what i get when I go to buy then...
