Help with Blox motor mount
I was wondering if anybody can help I bought a blox motor mount the other day I went to install it today and the mount sits about a inch higher than the stock mount I got it on but it didn't go on easy I had to line the centerbolt up than force the crossmember on by screwing the bolts in wondering if anybody else had this problem or if this is normal? I'll try and take pics tomorrow
just finished reading your post. basically what you were supposed to do was bolt the two bolts from the mount onto the cross member. from there you would just line up the transmission by either lowering the crossmember or raising the transmission with a jack or both. it takes a bit of coaxing to do but once its all together should be fine

I never had problems putting mine in but what I did was what Raikiri said, bolted the blox mount back to the crossmember, then lined up and bolted the cross member back on to the car. I didn't really have to line up the center mount bolt though just placed through and tightened it right back up

How I did it was bolt the mount to the member than put the mount in place lined up the bolts to the frame and finger tightened them than I noticed the mount bolt was sitting higher so the first thing I thought to do was line that one up first than put the bolts on to the frame didn't think to jack the transmission that should of come to mind I'll reinstalling it and see it looks the same

i'm running an OEM Evo 8 front mount in mine now... it's a slightly stiffer than one than the oem RA mount, but it's not overly stiff like the blow mount. to me it's a happy medium.
i used you as an example, on the same topic in another thread...this forum is turning into the twilight zone, or ground hog day or something...what the F?!?!
thats what happens when you get a forum this big. not enough supermerged sticky threads and more newbs than the mods can keep up with -_-

How did this turn into talking about a evo 8 mount rather than blox? This was about my stock mount sitting a inch lower I read the blox thread and it said it fits didn't see anything about people having I force it on or jack the trans up maybe I didn't read enough cause im a newbie

I had the stock 8 mount on anchor part number 9181 or that's what rock auto has it listed as stock I ripped that one downshifting to second that's why I went with a solid one wanted to do a DIY one But we Californians are lazy and this way I don't have to worry about it falling apart... when I Placed them side by side the blox center hole was a inch higher... I just wanted to know if people who installed this mount had to lift the trans up to get it to line up when I changed the stock ralliart mount to the 9181 none of that had to be done
